Interesting. As you've often said before sometimes it takes an outsider to actually see things clearly with the proper distance and perspective.
Waugh then moved on to his surroundings once he'd reinvented his personal appearance becoming obsessed with ever larger houses and adding carapace to carapace to make himself feel happier about being who he was.
But always inside the large house, within the bespoke suit, was the insecure, unhappy man.
