Hi everyone,
I know that they are stylish, I know I see them around more and more on both young and old. I recently bespoke a navy suit with them made up, and after 5 wearings, no one has made a comment yet.
My question for everyone is whether peak lapels work across the board in every industry? I would be interested in everyone's opinion about how these lapels look to them and how they think other people react to them. All countries, all cities invited.
Thanks in advance.
Ziggy
Particularly on dark navy and charcoal suits, few people will even notice. They are somewhat more obvious on tweeds.
I recently had a charcoal grey suit with peak lapels made, with lapels that are a bit of "F-You" proportions, which I'm reluctant to wear for business. Were the peak lapels more conservative (narrow), I believe the suit would be more appropriate for me, at least I'd feel more comfortable. If I worked in the entertainment industry, where sartorial standards are more flexible, or for myself, then I'd wear the suit routinely and broadcast "F-You" to the world.
