Popped in yesterday to get out of the rain. Wasn't worth the effort.
Why not?
Had the red bowler hat already been sold?
The shop stocks brands that can be bought in other, more convenient, stores. The choice of brands was disappointing too - Joules polos and shirts, Rocola shirts (!), Gibson tweed jackets, Loake shoes and Christy hats. The service was dire too.

That's a drag.
I used to walk by a certain shop in a nearby town. The stuff in the window looked like something a Nairobi spiv would wear to a birthday party. Just awful. One day, I found myself with some time on my hands so I went in. Past the window and in the back was where they apparently kept the stuff for grown ups. It turned out to be a nice place for seasonal type clothes such as linen jackets and the like. Plus, the guy that owns the joint is enthusiastic about all clothes, not just the high fashion crap in the window. He seems to be serious about selling you what you want, rather than what's hot right now.
Can't judge a shop by its window, I guess.
