Love the Vintage website. A veritable museum, well-cataloged and displayed with an expert guide. Well done! I shall visit often. Many thanks.
It's a great site and l hope many more pictures of vintage shoes are posted for a long time. lt probably is the world's best vintage shoe site, and if it's not, it soon will be. The vintage shoes were truely the best in the old days, better leathers according to Isshy and certainly far better construction of the average shoe.
There will be a good section on shoe consturction soon too. Things will be laid out in good detail like never done before online with good pictures and proper diagrams written in English and easy to understand. l'm gonna draw shoe construction diagrams all weekend until l get them perfect...pretty colours and all and try to do my finest hand writing. l'll keep on drawing them over and over again until l don't mess them up.

Do yourself a favor and get some decent shoe trees.

The brown one by John Lobb is tops, but l love them all. l would love the Chase by J.M.Western, have dreamed of that for years...hand stacked heels too, holy sh*t! Pity l own no shoes from French makers, probably never will.
l love your shoo trees. Ole Meister told me about some vintage trees on ebay once and l bought them, the best trees ever! The 1920's hinged job was a real rip snorta mate!...only cost me 15 bucks.
Can anyone tell me about the Endicott and Johnson brand? I am considering purchasing vintage pair in excellent condition.
Company was around from mid to late 1800's thru mid 1900's.
Some of their eralier offerings were fabulous, some of the later ones were pretty junky. This is the sad story of U.S. made shoes repeated once again. Post some pics & I can tell you more.
