Ha, no, I wish I could troll that well. I actually do listen to some country & western, but I find guys like Townes Van Zandt and Waylon Jennings a bit more my speed than the commercial crap they make these days.
I do have a LL account. Maybe 5 posts? Dunno. Not really engaged.
What is the Island in the Sun? Besides the Weezer song.

Traditionally a sock puppet is an extra one or two, or often more, online names used in a forum (USENET originally) designed to appear like random users who happen to agree with your point of view. The classic is sock puppets contributing glowing reviews of your book, or supporting your thesis that no one knows more about clothing than a well known NYC Cat Funeral Director and Exotic Dancer down on their luck. Sock puppets can be used to also run straw man arguments against you that can be easily refuted. They can also be used to support your opponents in a way that embarrasses your opponent.
A sock puppet is NOT just simply another name or identity.

Interesting 'take' on sock puppets - poor things.
RR.
They don't rate much sympathy from me.
Ah, gotcha.
Those LL'ers are more into "proper yachting" I think. I race carbon fiber machines that would offend a real yachtie's sensibilities most likely.
But I am not on exile, I actually like you fellas.
The thing which annoys me with this place is that no-one ever seems to want to talk about shoes. 90% of the time all l want to do is talk about shoes with the leather soles stitched on, but hardly anyone seems interested in discussing shoes here, not even FNB talks about shoes much, yet he has all the good ones. All l wanna do is talk about shoes until the cows cum home, but all l am doing is talking to myself most of the time and l wonder why l bother. But, when l google about shoos l often see fnb.com come to the top of the google search, so that makes me happy. Talking about shoes gets me completely off me tits fellas, but l would even get more off me tits if other blokes talked about too. Dr Preppy never talks about them much, FNB neglects the `shoo talk', ole Formby hardly ever talks about them because talking about suits is his thing....l am usually alone.
l like this place because there are less nubs and egomaniacs. l could easily post at S.F and talk shoos day and night, but l have no desire to speak to any of those ego maniacs. l miss Luk-cha, l miss A Harris, l miss the grumpy Fritz being a maniac, l miss all the old shoo boys. But l tell you guys, the inner shoo core guys are looking for a new home because all the clueless ego maniacs have driven many away and shoo conversations have never been the same.
Why aren't people talking about shoos? Why aren't people posting their shoos? Why do hardly any `shoo boys' ever post here??
l'll be here for the next 20 years hopefully, and when a shoo topic is brought up l will seize the glorious moment and discuss them with no limits, or at least until l fall down with exhaustion, but until those glorious shoo topics come up l am going to continue learning my rights - better to be 10 foot tall than one foot tall. Better to have de facto authorities fear ya than shaft ya lol.
Been really sick and tired of the lack of activity here lately, but fortunately we have a core group of members who keep the home fires burning year after year. Less young punks and fly by night try hard types here...more good fellows with age and experience instead.
All the forums are slow now. All the people who discovered the internet forums over those vital years (2004 - 2008) have gone and now only trickles come through. Only a trickle will remain of daft posters because all the good posters have come and gone and there is no longer the good posters to educate the newer members, so all we get is daft sods who joins forums these days who have nothing interesting to say. l am sick of daft sods and l miss the old shoo boys of the past glory days of the forums. The glory days have gone and all is left is mainly daft sods with a sprinkling of good blokes who know the score.
l miss lmmit. He had great clothing and shoe experience that few people on the forums have ever had, and he always made for interesting conversation. He lead the way because he had his own opinions and he really knew his stuff and didn't give a rip what anyone thought - he didn't follow, he lead the way and had great stories to tell and had strong reasons for his opinions. He brought common sense to the forums, he was a thinking man's poster (rare).
Glad Preppy is still around. No-one sets the tone like old man Preppy. Preppy is the king - the way he writes is a pleasure to read and makes me feel all warm and fuzzy every single time. From the very first post Preppy ever made l knew he was a special guy (l was the first person who had a conversation with him, it was about shoes at AAAC in early 2004). Preppy keeps it real...no bullshit in him, but even more important, he doesn't give a rip about anything.

as long as people aren't looking at rude stuff that people do on the internet then l am happy too. l have never seen rude stuff online myself, but according to Russell and BIG Tony it does exist.
rude stuff = stuff mums and dads do when they want to have kids. *shocked icon*
looking at rude stuff is no good because it could make innocent minded people wanna do rood stuff too.
