Re: Nantucket Saffron

You must mean Nantucket Reds.

I always got mine at Murray's Toggery, but the Nobby Shop is also a good source.

I think Horace knows more than I do about this.

Re: Nantucket Saffron

Do they have to have Tambourine pockets?
Because I've a feeling that if you want those these days you might have to go MTM.

Off topic:

Nobody cares about the old Brooks 'Stone' or 'Helio' OCBD colours.
All the rest have a following but not them.
M&S killed them off & nobody cared.
Me included.

Re: Nantucket Saffron

Just had my '89 Murray's Reds cut down into shorts. 9", No turn-ups.

They're a very pale pink now.
Only the knees had gone white-ish.

I'll wear them with a White-T or a nice soft Blue polo shirt (& a Navy cotton cable-knit jumper if I get chilly) later on in the Summer. Probably down in Cornwall or on Sark again if I'm lucky.

They go very well with too much to drink by the sea a long way from home.

And fish and chips..

Do you eat burgers wearing that?

Re: Nantucket Saffron

There are no good burgers in England.

Fact.

Re: Nantucket Saffron

I remember the Hard Rock Cafe in London circa 1976. Those were good burgers for a yank in exile. Before the franchises. Schlitz beer made in yugoslavia. They couldn't do an iceburg lettuce salad though. I think the first Macdonalds opened in London that year. not that they serve good burgers but the fries were great. Hard to believe it is still hard to find a good burger in London 30 years on.
