^ Dubarry's walking boots are very popular amongst the country set, especially women.

Interesting. Musto is a huge yachting supplier as well. Seems they have a good bit of boots and shooting garb.

Edit: If you look at my avatar, that's me on the front right. All Musto kit.

And can you doubt that the real WASP elite in America wore English (if they could) anyway ?

Later Italy was to have a vogue with them.

- Maybe better a good English cut jacket than a bad 'Ivy' one from J. Press' current offerings ?????

Re: Remnants of Olde Englande

Fromage is in the Cording's 'old fart look'. This is reached by: taking one ripe old fart (a cheesy old fart like Fromage does very well) and getting him up in a compleat set of really beaten-up Cording's clothing and taking him out onto Peckham High Street with his reluctant family and telling him to pose with unregulated awkwardness for a fairly unimpressed paparazzo, while the voters pass him by in the street as they will in the elections. And no wonder. No wonder either that poor old Blighty is totally, totally fucked when the wanna-be leaders think that they need to dress like this to get in!

I have cords in that colour. I thought they would be bright fawn - not yellow.

Re: Remnants of Olde Englande

I'd take Farage's look any day of the week, over Cameron, Clegg or Milliband  (or Obama come to that). They are just cardboard cutout clones in their appearance and their outlook. And I would sooner go for a drink with the UKIP man than those other bozo's, whatever his politics.
I was in Chichester last summer visiting the Cathedral, a local pub and a pizza palour. I came across two Old Style menswear shops that looked interesting, but were closed. Reminded me of shops in the Home Counties years ago.
