Indeed, a most excellent interview with our fellow forum member NJS.

NJS is looking good.

I disagree about the San Diego soda fountain though. Top hat and tails were an excellent choice.

You lot must be queer as a priest as no one on here has complimented NJS on his choice of female companion.

Aw how nice of you all. The interviewer got my e-mail off Will (ASW) and appeared out of the blue.

Shooey - the shoes are navy calf and off-white nubuck, made as a special order on a standard last, by Tricker's.

Bishop - it's Mrs S.

Re: Keikari.com Interview with NJS

You wear the bowtie with pure class. Not many folks wear bows very well and they end up looking like goons, but it enhances your look.

And it so true what you say, you need to wear clothing appropiately...it's something igents have yet to learn. And yes, you do look good in your clothes. And l would even go as far to say that some outfits are better suited for older people who are well seasoned to carry certain looks that youth could never pull off. l think many see pictures of people in the old days and they try to imitate these looks, but they forget that it's not always appropiate to copy these looks unless one can really wear the clothes well and wear them in appropiate circumstances. But to take it further...many in the old days dressed much better (suits, bowties etc) so it was more commonly accepted for people to wear three piece suits to the shops, but it's not acceptable to do those types of things these days if one wishes to come across well in public. Wearing clothes in context is the key!

Great interview. I notice that you tower over your wife. How tall are you, out of curiosity? I fear that I am shrinking in old age!

I didn't realize that the Finnish site was so widely known and had never come across it before. fxh - it seems an appropriate allocation. Formby - Captain Preppy - I am shorter than Christopher Lee! and just average height at 5' 10''. My wife doesn't usually look as short as that! Hep - the second Mrs S was Croatian. The third has roots in Kashmir. Shooey, thanks again. I am bright red now and hiding in a corner.

Re: Keikari.com Interview with NJS

I guessed that it would be Mrs S but one should never make uninformed assumptions. The lady, in theory, could have been a relative or a colleague.

Re: Keikari.com Interview with NJS

The suit, actually is a lightweight worsted pinstripe rather than a flannel chalkstripe (it brings me out in a sweat just thinking about it). We hardly ever wear shoes and clothes as such anymore and feel 'liberated' from these constraints of civilization - but still dress to go to the city! The trouble with today is that too many people forget to be civilized in the city.
