Interesting too how hes not embarrassed and it doesn't look like others care. You'd remember his patched shoes - do you have a picture anywhere?

I don't like or dislike him - I'm an Australian  republican but have no animosity toward the Royals. No fawning either.

I think its  a lesson there about clothes.

He can be a bit of a drip but, on the other hand, it is much better for the health and appearance of the nation to have an hereditary head of state rather than someone like Tony (or even Cherie) Bliar or (Heaven forfend) Posh Becks - lawding it ovah us. Nothing wrong in mending clothes that are, otherwise good.

I wouldn't wear a suit like that, I'd throw it out, and I bet mine cost more than his.

Patch it and wear it for playing with the dog. But with c. £30m  a year it is tight to wear I/t out to meet and greet.

If you believe the last sentence, you will believe anything. I can't see Camilla telling Charlie to abandon A&S either.

^^Well said, Bish. That patched suit coat and and those gawd-awful patched up Lobbs are obviously cheap PR to show how frugal and eco-sensitive he is. Still and all, he doesn't seem like too bad of a fellow.

Frankly, the American adulation of the Royals is simply beyond belief! Every July 4, we supposedly celebrate a revolution we fought against them, yet "Kate" and The Royal Baby are all over the tabloids and celebrity magazines. The Royals' only real competition are the perhaps even more annoying Kardashian family. Some of the tabloids really like to make a soap opera of the Royals with headlines like: "Evil Camilla Plots to De-Throne the Queen" and similar stuff. The Duchess of Cornwall seems to be particularly singled out by some of these rags for their odium. It is only the British Royal Family that is of any interest to the Americans. Hardly any of my compatriots could name the reigning  monarchs of Spain, the Scandinavian or Benelux countries, much less more exotic monarchies like Morocco, Jordan, Saudi Arabia or Thailand.

I have guys come in my shop that have been vegan since the late sixties now in the mid sixties who look like they're in their very early 50s.

Maybe shoe can explain why? I think its the phytoestrogens?
