I last wore a Hoodie in the '70s but this year I bought another one and I love it. In the UK the Hoodie did have chav connotations but I think it is now reconnecting with sportswear. I'm old enough not to care and I'm on the lookout for another one. nice find Woof.
^ Not guilty!
/\ that's tops! awesome sweatshirt graphics and bonus points for the turn-ups and the beer-drinking gals.
That girl on the right is looking for trouble!
When it comes to acually doing sport, I'm a huge fan of the brands Tracksmith and Iffley Road. They combine modern materials with a classic look.
/\ was looking at Tracksmith for a while, liked their designs, by the time I was ready to try something they had switched their manufacturing and were no longer making their stuff in the USA so I lost interest but I liked the look of their stuff.
/\ good work Leer, as a Dodgers fan I really dig the royal blue cap, the Dartmouth cap has a very vintage look, well done, thanks for the post and keep 'em coming! I only have one Ebbets Field cap, it was a gift, it also has my initials on it in case I forget my name, I want a vintage-style "Y" cap from the same series as your Dartmouth cap .......
Love that Dartmouth, Leer...
Shorts have recently been mentioned on the Question of Sneakers thread .....
I constantly wear made-in-USA J. Press walk shorts in poplin and also cotton twill, as well as Incontinence pants 9-inch inseam sports shorts, Champion cotton shorts with pockets, Sportif Hatteras boating shorts, Birdwells for the beach/pool, and there are also some old Brooks Brothers, Patagonia, Gramicci, and a couple of other cotton surf jams I've had forever, couple of J. Press madras ..... sincerely missed are an old pair of thick navy linen walk shorts from Bermuda and a pair of cotton Hawaiian aloha jams in light red and white with cotton rope string ....
They're pretty shredded now but I saved them for the archives, same with a mighty pair of J. Press khakis, the cuts are so good they should be saved.
Also a pair of longish seersucker shorts from Japan, more traditional Japanese than Ametora but number one on my favorites list at the moment, want more, but the Incontinence pants are easier to get, just got a nice pair with scalloped hem in a lighter than navy blue, just keeping them in reserve for now .....
next up might be a few more cotton Champions and maybe a pair of lax shorts to trash, I'm trying to not wear out the harder-to-find great Press poplins, their cut as I've said before is a proper tapered shorts cut, not simply a regular trousers cut that's been shortened at the knee .....
