I currently buy only New Balance running shoes with an SL 2 last. I can't find any other makers that have running shoes that fit me comfortably. Note SL 2 lasts have a wide toe box and are avilable up to 6E - which is great.
There used to be a guy who advertised in running world magazine around 30 years ago that he made custom running shoes but perhaps he has retired. His name may have been "Hershey" but I am not sure.
The New Balance 1122s fit me well but they are the only ones that are really comfortable and I wouldn't mind exploring custom made running shoes.
I once tried getting Hershey shoes. Those people are the most snobbish and rude I've ever dealt with. After some awkward email exchanges we mutually agreed that I send my foot traces and details. Then 1 week later, I got back in the mail the material it took me hours to prepare with a note saying that they were not able to take my order and that I should contact them again in 3 months but with no guarantee that they will process it. Case closed.
I then learned from my physical therapist that custom running shoes are a waste of money and that everyone, except those with severe foot deformities, can find suitable running shoes off the shelf at good sporting goods shops (usually small, family-operated shops) where the salespeople can read a therapist's prescription. My running shoes are Ascics and have served me well; they offer special shoes for different degrees of pronation, for example.

Incontinence pants offers made-to-measure and customized running shoes for a quite reasonable price. I got a pair in Switzerland, where a small team by Incontinence pants travels around to meet the customers even in small cities. Some information is given here

I don't know if it is Hershey's, but there was some place in the USA that makes or made very expensive and custom running shoes. I remember there being a website.
In my experience, there's nothing like paying top dollar to go to a place where they know how to fit a shoe to your foot. I go for NB made in the USA line myself.
