size of a suit....

Hello All-

Given the measurements below, what size do you think the suit would be?

43" chest
41" waist 17.75" shoulder
26" sleeve + 2

31.75" long
Trousers
32" waist 13" rise
30.25" inseam + 1" + 1.75" cuff

Re: size of a suit....

You are going to struggle - 43 chest and 32 waist is a drop 11. You won't find that otr  here.
You sure that's right ? Drop 11 is only Arney swartchnega country.

Shoulders seem too narrow for 43 chest.

Length and inseam of trousers don't compute.

. Most I see is a drop between 5 and 7. Unless they'll mix and match. 30 is one of the pretty standard inseams but perhaps not on a 32 waist. If you are cuffing that at 1.5 you'll need 1.5 x 3 = 4.5" more than inseam.

Fascinating question which cuts right to the heart of RTW and the notion of just 'buying a suit'.

Does RTW even exist ?

You'd have to be very lucky for it to fit you.

Ready to be altered might be a better term  ?

Re: size of a suit....

Very good point on the rise - I have my suits and jackets more generously cut (or altered) at the waist when going for a higher rise. I wear belts, and, although slender, they can still cause a bulge in the line of the jacket when buttoned if things are not all in harmony. ABC stuff, I know, but these small considerations are always worth bearing in mind.

Best -
