With regard to White Wranglers Slim - I assume that its similar for all colours - Sheplers inform me that the waist on 34 and 35 runs exactly TTS and for the front rise - 34/34 have a 12 inch rise, and the size 35/34 have a 12.5 inch rise.
Yep. They are true to size from my experience.

Definitely. He's like, "What's up with these other four guys here?"
Nice WM.
They are Rigid Slim Fit 936?
I seem to remember no shrinkage and tts?
The go is to get 2 x pair and wash/wear one pair and keep another pair dark, for " good"?
WM the faded pair look to have a lapped/double seam on the outside but the new pair not?
FXH, they are the 13MWZ rigid. The 936 is the slim fit with a little less room in the seat and thigh. I personally like the 13MWZ more. I haven't experienced any shrinkage in the waist on these, but they've probably lost about an inch in the inseam. I used to have to cuff more material. The seams are the same. I think it's just the way they've faded that gives the seam that more pronounced appearance. It is a lapped seam though. These are some tough jeans.
WM, your jeans look pretty damn good

^ they are looking great WM and thanks for the heads up on the Sheplers price
Hi, Im looking to order some a pair of the wrangler 13MWZ's online, never worn them though, you cant get them here in the UK.
Wondered if anyone here could give some advice on how they fit compared to Levi 501's, have always stuck with the standard 501s and 32 waist/ 34 leg seems to be right on the mark every time, does the waist size compare on there with 13MWZs, should i order the same size?.
Id be really grateful for any help guys
Thanks
The Wranglers are pretty true to size. What's your waist size? It's been a while since I've worn any 501s, and I really can't trust my memory to conjure an accurate comparison. Hopefully someone can weigh in for you.
But I will say this: I like the Wranglers more than any Levi's I've ever tried and I really wanted to like the Levi's. I never dabbled in the LVC stuff, however. Again, for my money, they can't be beat. Tuff-as-nails, no-frills denim with a good cut, and cheap to boot.
Maybe Stan can provide an A/B
Pricewise the Wranglers can't be beat.
The rise is higher on the Wranglers.
Crotch comfort, for me, goes to the Levi's.
Color after some washing is not dissimilar.
Last pair of 501s shrank a touch too much, while the Wranglers did a bit better and shrank less.
The last Levi's 501s (made in Egypt) I got are still a bit stiff, and they are a touch tighter than other 501s I have. Today may be a fat day for me, you know how it goes, I'll eat steak and salad for a couple of days and things will feel nice again.
I gave the Wranglers away but I regret it, and have been planning to get another pair, my sole issue was that the crotch was a touch constricting for me when I was sitting, but standing or walking it was fine, whereas my most recent Egyptian 501s just feel a bit off all around, less comfortable, smaller, compared to the previous pair in the same size, which were made in Mexico and are perfect but are starting to degrade but I've really worn the hell out of them but they're all I want to wear ...
my vintage USA-made 505s are so beautiful but again are a bit tight for the size stated on the tag ... must me a mistake somewhere, it can't be my fault .....
if I find another pair of the Mexican 501s I'll get them without reservation, but wouldn't necessarily buy a pair of the Egyptian ones again, except it's hard online to know what you're going to receive ..... the Egyptian 501s are adequate though
I do intend to get another pair of Wranglers, rigid 13MWZ shrink-to-fit, I liked my first pair ... I dug them a lot when they were new, roomier, darker and less broken-in. but for $20 how can you not give them a try?
at $47 for the Levi's 501s I'd try the Wranglers first ... one more caveat, one dude here told me his girlfriend ragged on his Wranglers and called them farmer pants, but he should have stood his ground, that much I'm sure of ... I've never had a pair of LVC jeans or any special jeans whatsoever, don't know anything about them compared to experts like Acton_Baby and Thee Captain, but because the Wranglers are practically free, it's really worth it to try them if you like a square, no-frills look, which most of us here do.

The crotch totally blew out today on my LVC 505s - there was a hole there that I was going to get fixed and then it ripped as I was attempting a Captain like lunge to get the lead on the dog
about a year and a half old (the jeans not the dog)
I think 12BB mentioned in an old post that they're prone to this
Not great though quality wise - I'm pretty scuzzy on washing them too
