In Kent it was always soul and black music in general, early hip hop as well as jazz funk. The electro-pop bands had a distinctly different following.
I'm aware it wasn't the same all over the country.
But its true, casuals as defined in the media had no particular musical direction other than individual taste.

Oddly enough, the only glowing review of Mozza's autobiography was in the The Daily Telegraph.
