Here is my vote for insane post
Gated community=need for 8 guns?
If he lived in the apartment I had in law school, he would probably would have thought he needed to carry an AK and drive a tank...LOL

The problem with guns is they have a tendency to go off. They rarely hit the intended target, if any target was intended. Most people can't hit the broad side of a barn, outside of a range and ideal circumstances. Having them in your house, especially "unlocked" and "hidden around" will only give an intruder a better chance of arming himself from your supply. Most illegal guns out there "on the streets" were stolen from law-abiding gun owners' homes.
They're just bad, bad things to have around.
Stick with a baseball bat. Just make sure to keep a baseball glove next to it, for explanations afterwards. Or if you're a bit strange, perhaps a sword. Nobody knows how to fight a man with a sword these days (except of course, internet gentlemen!).

If I recall the eight-gun owner works as some sort of a salesman or higher level representative who traveled around. I wonder how he coped when he was living in nations where gun control is essentially no guns at all. Perhaps, he collected daggers?
This notion of carrying all the time strikes me as a big-time cowboy attitude--an attitude that has no particular basis. You might as well just wear a tooled leather holster around your waist and drive an open-top Cadillac.

He has zip-ties all over the house apparently:

I wonder, is it because he likes it, rough? That would be the more logical explanation.
