Smart comment, Voltaire.
Modern country lite stuff is so tight and bespoke, that it seems too prissy to be real.
Don't call any modern right-wing patriotic country singer (or fan) a fag.
He'll kick yer ass.
But he's dressed like some sort of Midnight Cowbow.

Of all the old Macho 'Work' styles this one alone has mutated in this way I think.
All the other Village People style uniforms remained very Masculine drag.
Only Cowboys oddly changed into Cowgirls.
Odd.
The American mythos has contributed its fair share of camp icons.
From the ultra-masculine Tom of Finland "rough trade" to the lil'--or big!--cowpokes we all know.

Full Metal Jacket Quotes... dam'n... that part of the movie is by far the best. Until the sniper turned out to be the hooker "GI Joe... me love you long time."
The feminization is just part of The United States descent into obscurity and oblivion.
"By the time an affable, influential singing cowboy named Roy Rogers (originally an actor named Leonard Slye) came along, the fancy outfitting of the cowboy hero had become a matter of great style but little authenticity... his trademarks were eagle-decorated Texas boots and a shirt with a fringed yoke, piped pockets, and pearl-capped snap closings - a fine example of a Western shirt from the dude's vantage point. Roger's horse Trigger was likewise dressed to the nines."
