^ What major distortions regarding the slave trade and the African-American experience?

I have really enjoyed 'Sanders of the River' 1935 Korda.
Paul Robeson is in fine voice and others are well turned out in pith helmets and shorts. Sanders is a pipesmoker who routinely cuts off talks with the chieftains by declaring 'The palaver is over!'
''Africa….
Tens of millions of natives under British rule, each tribe with its own chieftain, governed protected by a handful of white men whose everyday work is an unsung saga of courage and efficiency.
One of them is Commissioner Sanders.''
Whole film is free on you tube
