Re: Are you a climate change denier?

Humans have been meticulously recording meteorological and astronomical data for some considerable time now, is it beyond the realms of possibility that NASA might access and utilise this information? Morton Thiokol aside NASA tend to be accurate and reliable - they do, after all, throw probes to the other end of the solar system succesfully targeted to a split second and a few metres.

Re: Are you a climate change denier?

There is another viable explanation as to why the data sets concur - they reflect the reality of the situation. Each of these agencies has access to a wealth of information, it is unlikely that they have chosen to operate the same statistical sources.

I would not have expected any less from you formby than a balanced and reasonable counter position - however, given what is at stake with this problem (if it exists) I would suggest that erring heavily on the side of caution is the only reasonable strategy.

Re: Are you a climate change denier?

I suggest that you read Michael Creighton's State of Fear (especially he material in the bibliography) and watch this documentary film, noting the qualifications and views of those taking part.

http://topdocumentaryfilms.com/great-global-warming-swindle/ .

Carbon dioxide in the atmosphere, probably owing to human activity, is increasing but there is no clear proof that this (rather than natural processes) is, in any measured degree, responsible for global warming. Until there is, I remain unconvinced that there is anything to panic about. It's a bit like the mandatory health warning on snuff canisters -  despite the fact that all the scientific evidence suggests that snuffing is not a danger to health at all. There is plenty of BS at large in the world these days. I try my best not to tread in it.
