My shirtmaker was telling me about this sensational new white cotton shirting fabric called `Lambro Special' from the ltalian `Pontelambro Mill'. lt is only available in white and is considered as easily better than Sea lsland Cottons.
lt really doesn't surprise me that the Egyption `Lambro Special' cotton is better. Afterall, how good can American grown cotton really be....considering the mineral deficient soils and environment in which it is grown. The only shirtmakers that appear to be heavily promoting Sea lslands are the Americans (correct me if i'm wrong).
Anyone heard of the Pontelambro Mill? Anyone heard of `Lambro Special' shirting?
My shirtmaker says that it is the best cotton he has ever come across and that he is ordering a whole heap (can't wait). From the conversation, it appears to be a newly woven fabric.
