Waterlock Soles - Any Experience?

Are they really suitable for temperate climes, being impervious to rain and damp?

Thanks!

Alden flog them - they look like normal leather(?) soles, but appear to have been treated with some kind of wax and offer protection against the effects of puddles and rain.

Re: Waterlock Soles - Any Experience?

Just found this: Flex Welt or Water Lock Sole – This sole has been soaked in oil so water will not penetrate as quickly as standard leather. Good water resistance and traction in the rain.

So is it suitable for a temperate North Sea climate?
