Maybe we can start our own Book Club. I mentioned in some thread a few days ago James Lee Burke. His latest book is The Tin Roof Blowdown. Hit the bestseller list last week. He is a hardworking writer who may have written his masterpiece at the age of 70. A style that rivals Hemingway. He has written about vivid New Orleans characters for a quarter of a century. And now he has written gracefully, with an incredibly hard boiled edge, about the city he loved and lost with Katrina. Highest regards from me. And I have read a lot of books.
But I hope others will add obscure stylish other reads.
