Their linen shirts are decent enough for the price.  Their underwear is worth looking at too.  If you like cotton socks, those.

Socks. The basic sweatshirts aren't bad for 20 quid, very simple with the V stitching at the neck.

I took them up on their 4 for £10 over summer on the socks...off whites were good and the colours choice was enough to put me in some kind of Aspergers trance...the colours....soo..many colours.

Socks,
Raw, Japanese (Kaihara mills) selvedge denim,
Sweatshirts (the grey marl this season is proper buff) and hoodies,
"Vintage" chinos,
Ultra-light down jackets/gilets are actually really sick as an under-layer,

I would also write in praise of the Uniqlo oxfords. I actually think they're great for the price. The cloth is really, really good (they always seem to get that right!), with exceptionally boom-years-authentic colours and the collar and quality is really no worse than Ralph Lauren. Maybe it's because I'm fresh out of university where I would never have wanted to wear a vintage Gant or Sero out to some dirty club but I think they're really great.

I would also say that whilst you're in the area go to all the Uniqlos...There are two on Oxford Street and one on Regent Street by Picadilly Circus. They all have slightly different stuff and will often have different stuff in their sales. A few weeks ago they had some 5 pocket needle cords in the smaller Oxford Street one for example. It's luck of the draw and only worth it if you're killing time but it can work out well!

Have several pairs of Uniqlo Chinos which I'm quite fond of, however, having tried the selvedge denim I can't say the same - mainly cause the rise is shockingly bad! Don't know if they've changed the rise recently though..

Does anyone else find that the 'vintage' chinos fade in a really odd way?  Lots of crease line and whatnot - think they're over-died or something.  I suppose you get what you pay for.

If only their selvedge denim was mid-rise.

Re: What's good in Uniqlo at the mo?

I tried the vintage chinos and although they felt well made i didnt really like how they felt on, just one of those weird fits that feel like your movement is trapped...and im not a man that like to have a movement restricted. The ss oxfords looked like a good choice of colour but no way im getting into a slim fit.. the reg fits had a new yellow colour that didnt work for me but a more olive skinned or black skinned person would probably do well in it..

They did have a muted madras suit i hope to see Captain sport at some point teamed with jelly sandals and summer hat.

After that I couldnt see much else they seem to be pushing their linen shirts which are plain collar..

No pictures on the website but in-store they have some killer boxer shorts in a pink and blue candy stripes.

In my minds eye, an East Coast Ivy League trained medical examiner nodded his approval as he stripped my corpse…So I bought a couple pairs.

(And not that Quincy chap…Lmao)

The uni-qlo polo shirts are a bit of a bargain at the mo'.

^ mix DRY weave (their description) on the Uniqlo.

Some Lacoste outlets have 2 for 1 on classic polo shirts as the mo', so about £80 for two.
I'm awaiting a US made Goodwear polo and I'll report back when it arrives.

Re: What's good in Uniqlo at the mo?

^ Lacoste sizing can be a bit weird (it's a number system) it's probably best to try one first, the 'classic' two button is consistent but beware the slim and modern ranges.
