As Simon say's: "Ha! No, although it could certainly be carried by a woman as well. Most tote bags are pretty unisex."

Like unisex scents, likely this is best avoided. Can you imagine getting off the train in down-town Hull holding one of them?

Having spent many an afternoon in Hull I can only imagine the carrying of a Crompton Sac would be a shortcut to a smack in the chops. 

But even outside of Hull, frankly why would anyone want a bag like this crashing round their ankles when a briefcase or satchell would do the job every bit as well and without the risk of looking like a testicle? I am inclined to take a read of the Cromp's blog from time to time, but increasingly it is coming across as a vast exercise in personal hubris, and somewhat divorced from reality.

The last time such a tarts bag was successfully incorporated into the zeitgeist of masculine apparel, was with Jim Kerr in Simple Minds back in 1981, but at least he had the good sense to use the handy newspaper round delivery boy version, always a winner:
