Striped ties are a reminder of school for many Brits. Ivy types seem to favour them and a limited number of precise patterns.
Van Buck and Duchamp are a bit too much for me. The older style Liberty ties had some great offerings though.

Again...you widely miss the point of what Im trying to say, in fact what you outline in use of context is what Ive alluded to above. Vulgarity is wonderful and can be achieved through a lot better means than a Van Buck design.
In fact all this makes me think of the Bhupen Khakhan exhibition at the tate modern right now....a master class in vulgarity...
Im not sure how much more I can stop you guys missing the point..its not what you do...its the way that you do it.
