Your view on fine checks

Friends - I am hovering over a bold decision:

Yes, go WILD with checks. So what is your view on these fine check patterns, will it clash with Hermes tie patterns?

I love a fine check. Then again, I love a bold check.

I have something similar, but all different shades of blue. I wear it a lot but never feel great about it because it's been really trendy past couple years.

Re: Your view on fine checks

Little graph checks in standard colors are innocuous.  Gingham always seems sporty to me, and even more so when the contrast or scale is boosted.  It feels too casual even with a blazer, so I'm assuming this is a British thing where more vibrant and busy shirts are standard.

Aye, it's top notch Formby, and I purchased one in the sales and it's pretty much my favourite shirt at the moment, actually several times better in the flesh than those photos. I have got that English sensibility itch and I am scratching it with pride and impunity, I'm just trying to get Fritzl to come and join the party!
