Does anyone have a copy of the obit for Bobby Corbett? Another confirmed bachelor. It was in the Times or Torygraph, can't remember. Died in 1998 or 1999 I think, Lord Rowallan's son, Art collector, Master of Foxhounds, Alcoholic. His brother Arthur married April Ashley, the celebrated transsexual.
I'm beyond confirmed...
I'm an ordained bachelor.
Ahhhh - the laying on of hands...
And did he then perform the act of extreme unction?
Verily,
j.
.............'he never married'.

Also, it might be true that Houseman's legacy will be his work on Manilius, a poet which I've read some. I think I have the Loeb. Don't recall if Houseman edited that one or not. But surely everyone should read his collection A Shropshire Lad. Worth having on your shelf.
