Well it appears Sir Wiggo may have been a bit of a drugs cheat, supporters however saying that the man has asthma and allergies and this medication is acceptable but then other doctors as well as former drugs cheats explaining the timing of the drug administration, how it has been used by other cheats aaaaand it's case for use for asthma sufferers.

Personally I feel as though this isnt as straight cut as the Wiggo supporters are suggesting, and its a shame that questions are now having to be asked as to whether a national hero is actually no more than a cheating drugs weasle.
The spirit to win often appears to coincide with the spirit to cheat

In the eyes of the 'law', he hasn't cheated.
Morally, if that's the word, he has.
I consider him a cheat.
...but this affects all athletics...
Maybe time to take a cue from pro-bodybuilding...?
A cyclist cheating? I'm shocked, shocked I tell you.
He didn't run his charity too well either, allegedly.
I don't know, if you were a sportsman why wouldn't you take enhanced foodstuffs to improve your performance?
I got into club cycling in the late 1980s and there is massive jump from the Sunday riders to the real sportsmen and semi-pros who are doing the time trials and getting their bikes and gear paid for. If you want to compete at that level, I suppose it comes with the territory and should be expected. I am all for a blanket open season in sports as regards performance enhancers, but then again I am not that into sports, so it's not something I feel strongly about. I suppose there is a strong medical argument against this, but it strikes me that the dope testing is always going to be a game of cat and mouse as regards masking techniques. So why not be done with it?
What the current situation as regards the Olympics has shown, is that the Russians appear to have been got at it for political reasons, whilst our chaps can take banned drugs with impunity.
Yeah..clearly a political thing with Russia hence why they stung us back...fairs fair.
The problem really would be more a case of the dangers of using these drugs long term more than the fairness..wouldnt be a goodthing to start permitting IMO, obviously athletes are getting tested by corrupt officals and loop holes are not being managed
fuck all the cheating clowns from whichever country who need more than steaks, chicken breasts, salad, pasta, fruit, and milk to play their games and run their races .........
and the Russian Ministry of Sport whatever too
Im going to watch golf...obvious from.some of those guys physiques there's no cheating going on there..maybe the odd bit of fixing but hey...what can you do?
