Definitely - the best I've seen in my limited experience of live jazz acts, the rest of the band were great too. Tony Kofi was the name and well worth seeing if you have the chance.
Woof, have you read Yuca's post elsewhere? He promoted Mr. Kofi some years ago, presumably before he was better known. It's good news - and would have cheered my old Dad up no end - to hear that live jazz is getting enthusiastic audiences rather than punters trooping into Ronnie Scotts 'just for the experience'.

If you're in touch with that stylish old Weejun wish him all the best from his old chums on 'Talk Ivy'. Would you do that?
I will do. Has that post come through? I can't see anything this end.
It hasn't - but it can be read by clicking on the quote button. Woofboxer discovered that.
Is it because there are too many links on there? Feel free to delete a few if it makes it show up.
Kind of you, SB, but I think it's just an ongoing technical problem.

Ah, I see. Didn't realise image posts were down altogether. Anyway, here's an Insta link if that works.
A recent deadstock buy. Nunn Custom Autograph. The Weejun reckons probably mid-60s, judging by the finish and logo style. Perfect fit, but I can't bring myself to wear out that beautiful sole, so it looks like I've just got myself another expensive museum piece, which wasn't the intention…

No disrespect, SB, but that's something I now absolutely avoid doing. I used to buy lots of 'Golden Age' goodies when Ebay was cheaper and more cheerful than it tends to be now and would wear them but somewhat gingerly. But I was in the basement at Russell Street one day, saw a Burberrys' trench hung on the back of a door and thought - plain and simple from now on. And I've stuck to that principle.
Yesterday I covered a couple of Veterans Day events, and I decided this was an excellent excuse to put on proper clothes for a change.
So I strode confidently into the world in a comfy Brooks camelhair sack in a gun club check, white point collar Press shirt and Hober repp stripe in mostly red with a LL Bean light gray Shetland V neck so people could see the tie, charcoal grey flannels and big Commie-stomping Trickers plain-toe bluchers in medium brown to anchor the whole thing.
It had the pleasant (if short-lived) effect of boosting the morale.
Yes, good point. I still like tracking down vintage, but I'm definitely more comfortable wearing lightly worn than deadstock, which it feels a shame to wear out.
Who abides by the 'three minute rule' for dressing? I've already mulled it over before going to sleep, sometimes over a milky drink. Colour of shirt comes first. Always. Most often blue, white or striped. God bless the other Andy and his white Brooks shirts.
SB: love the Nunn longwings. Personally I would wear them to death, whilst of course treeing between wears, never wearing them 2 consecutive days and taking them to a reputable cobblers whenever necessary. Shit was built to last back then so it will be interesting to see if they'll ever need binning. I doubt it, even if you have many decades of walking ahead of you (which I hope you do).
Says the man with 2 pairs of gunboats he can't wear because they're in desperate need of attention. Once I have access to some decent cobblers again they will be back in rotation.
I'm in agreement with Yuca.
Yuca, you've got me tempted to give them an outing! BTW I've been using a very good cobbler via mail lately. DM me if you want the details.
I should have added to the list: treat with quality shoe cream whenever necessary. Sapphir is possibly the best (as you're probably already aware).
Yep. I'm anal enough to have all my shoes on a cream and polish rota.
