I eat a lot but very little in the way of fried or greasy food. No pork. Booze is very occasional. I walk a hell of a lot - I don't drive so I have no choice, although I actually enjoy a good walk. A little over 20 years ago I was an exercise junkie. Nowadays exercise is more occasional.
You too could have a body like mine.
My gunboats are 8D - just a touch on the wide side on the right foot. I have to lace them pretty tightly. My wingtips are excellent: very worn in and comfortable.
A 33 inch waist! Hot damn!
Probably not the actual measurement but that's the size I need from more traditional manufacturers.
I'm afraid my eating habits are not good, not good at all. Pork I love. Ice-cream. Knocking off the beer a bit, though, except for the odd Guinness and sometimes Italian lager with pizza. But I'm a Coca-Cola and orange juice fiend. Also a coffee junkie.
Sounds like your feet are a little narrower than mine. So if the Dexters are too small for you then I have no chance.
Frankly, I am looking at investing in several pairs of Astorflex. The Weejun and our Gibson were onto them years ago and I'm glad I've caught up, albeit late in the day. Older chaps on 'TI' - they're very good indeed.
Coca Cola? Go cold turkey on that crap, and the OJ, and replace with water. Buy spring water if necessary. 4 coffees a day maximum and a brisk walk each day, including a couple of long ones (90 minutes minimum) a week. Keep the booze occasional. 3 reasonably sized meals a day (one big one - lunch if possible) and no snacks. 1 dessert a day if you feel like it (I always do).
Or have a completely sedentary lifestyle and go hungry all the time. Which would be my idea of hell.
Just my recommendations.
Life's too short. A lot of my friends are already dead, the most recent of stomach cancer. I've no interest in making it beyond seventy.
Coca Cola is my idea of hell and, as I said, I enjoy a good walk, so for me it's for pleasure more than anything. Hence I wouldn't recommend a diet.
Water might seem boring but it's actually a wonderful drink.
Frankly, I thought I'd gone on a health kick when I gave up smoking sixty cigarettes a day. That was when I was still listening to The Yardbirds, digging Hopper and Pop Art and wearing Arrow shirts. I also gave up wearing Arrow shirts.
