Does this mean I should seek legal counsel, or flee the country?  Please respond asap, I'm packing even as I type.

Oh I'd rather wear my old ripped jeans and a hoodie.  I feel betrayed, so used and dirty, will I ever gain my honour back?

Re: So - I'm Busted...

Good Man Jack- although you did announce it sooner than I expected, and so full on ,I was expecting a slow trickle of the news.

anyway everyone now knows.

I have to say full credit to you and the crew for such ingenuity in promoting and bringing back into the mainstream and the public eye a style that would normally be described as a specialised topic, nay a clothing style that was on it`s last breath- but you and the crew have turned it around  very well done.

my best regards to Paddy and Jim.

What'd I just say???  I knew it....it's like reading Kafka!!!

Ever since "Chet" said I was a fogey, I did my best not to affiliate myself with either attitude...partly because my gut told me there was something else going on here.

A point for you if that gets the style out there, though it seems like a lot of effort.

so now that it's out there, you're going to take credit, Jack?

Seriously, it might be time for a vacation from the internets for a little while.

Re: So - I'm Busted...

I'm off to Paris next week minus my laptop...

No credit for me - I only conduct a small part of the orchestra, the other guys play all that wonderful music which we've all been enjoying (?).

'Trad to the Bone' or 'Ivy to the Bone' - What does it matter?

Let's make that BD work, sister!

Re: So - I'm Busted...

Ol Chum,

Cheers for the mention.  Always knew you had more support behind you than you let on.  Perhaps someday the army of Trad taxi drivers and others will come forward and take their bows.

But what of the struggle for Trad/Ivy truth?  What added press has the look gained as a result of this?

I think I shall convert to the Fundamentalist Trad look once espoused by the great V Astoria.  Perhaps there, true Ivy enlightenment may occur, ruther than the rainbow colored jokers over at AAAT.

Cheerio,
Trip

Re: So - I'm Busted...

Point taken.

But I'll use the rainbow of AAAT jokers to reach the Vaclavian gold standard of truth. My road is a rocky one...

... 'Longwing' says I'm 'delusional' ... But who is really the more deluded - The puppet master or the puppet?

Kafka-esque!

j. wink

(Obviously I'm expecting AAAT feathers to be ruffled over this - How could they not be? But I think that when the dust settles we'll go forward as a stronger and more cohesive fighting force... A kinda 'Trad's Army' - Remember that old one?)

Re: So - I'm Busted...

Important to say this -

My respect & love to the AAAT Trads.

We are all on the same side.

See the big picture, maybe?

Edit: ... & the punchline is that at last this is the truth.

No Trad, no Trad wars, no nothing.

Just a bunch of words on the Net raising the profile of that old Ivy style.

A good thing. No?

J.S. is an Internet construct just like "Trad".
Neither exist.

Follow your own sartorial white rabbit, as the wise man said...
