Maybe I'm imagining this but I somehow have a vision of him in a cord coat, maybe in a dark blue (not necessarily navy) rather than tan.  The hem falls to just a couple of inches above the knees.  That Dannimac I saw all those years ago in Celia's (Nottingham, now closed) basement, after she and her brother moved the stock around, was a close approximation.  I would have worn it with a yellow Tootal scarf, some light-coloured trousers (maybe Levis chinos; I had a pair) and desert or chukka boots.  The diametrical opposite of the 'hard mod'?  Where is 2RS when I need him?
