Harrington Jackets Made In Taiwan

For Van Heusen, yes?  Were these a viable alternative to Baractua or only really seen in the US?  Also, did anyone see the Prince Of Wales check version?  Own it?  The former - VH - was still to be found in vintage shops about fifteen or so years ago.  Were they originally for golfers or London lads?  Anyone see McGregor or London Fog ('old hat') back in the 60s?

Austin's sold McGregor Drizzlers back in the 60s - I had a blue one, which cost me about a months wages. They also sold H.I.S Harringtons - I had one of those too, which I lent to a girlfriend in 78 and naturally never saw again! London Fog didn't appear on my horizon until the 70s, when you could pick up almost deadstock ones for a few quid in Flip.
