Re: As Of Now: The Best Polo Shirt

I'm surprised Community Clothing didn't go with their CC logo if they are going to use a logo. The company appears to be having a new lease of life with restocking and more clothes on offer

Patrick Grant has been promoting the brand this summer at events where he does media, with his profile being higher due to Sew Off on BBC1.

Re: As Of Now: The Best Polo Shirt

I picked up the new in Sail Rigger tailored fit shirts at 40% off arrived from USA to UK this month, they are very soft with a perfect larger rolled collar. The best ones I have from them outside of the old Hyde Park ones. I accidentally ordered two of each size and kept them. At the price, excellent.  I need to check on polos there, as there had been a paucity but stock seems to be arriving again from USA in 2024.

Their tailored fit isn't slim, just not a relaxed size.

There is a live 40% off full price code around with a quick search.

Re: As Of Now: The Best Polo Shirt

Lands End don't seem to offer tailored fit polo shirts any more unfortunately.

Re: As Of Now: The Best Polo Shirt

The slub Jersey t-shirt weight ones were tailored fit without saying so - thin but perfect for summer holidays abroad. Not sure if still available. They need hand washing though being so thin.

Re: As Of Now: The Best Polo Shirt

In UK, Joules is now very strong as a general polo brand - presumably sold via Next or directly. Mrs Unseen arrived with a couple for me in Autumn that were alright, certainly a decent weight cloth. Worn in house/garden but not out. But I saw them worn for work/smart casual a lot in summer now. For a while it was Charles Tirwhitt, Superdry or Hackett. The former two became too popular for a lot of wearers and Hackett prices as with Paul Smith became silly. But Paul Smith is the summer business event polo of choice for many execs these days. RL, Lacoste and TH remain popular along with a few Hugo Boss around. There is a weird sort of polo self-grading though funnily.

AUS, "I picked up the new in Sail Rigger tailored fit shirts at 40% off arrived from USA to UK this month, they are very soft with a perfect larger rolled collar".

Talking of Sail Rigger OCBDs. Do LE ever do a University Stripe version?

I was wearing a traditional fit Sail Rigger from 2014 earlier today and, TBH, I think it ranks right up there with my JS and Kamakura ones.

Re: As Of Now: The Best Polo Shirt

Yes it comes and goes, I have four different width university stripe LE sail rigger and poplin shirts I wear on holidays - plus the Supima banker stripe ones for work.

Re: As Of Now: The Best Polo Shirt

ugly as hell but have become somewhat of a fan of some of the Peter Millar sold at golf clubs.

Other than that, whatever offerings are available Press or Andover that are made in Peru.

But only in summer months.

Maybe a Lacoste if one is at Frankfurt airport.
