Re: "Hooked" Ivy League Style SIDE Vents -

Bump!

I'm oh so keen to move on from the kindergarten 'OCBD's are the most Trad shirt, right guys?' level of Ivy talk on the Net to the big wide world of Covert Cloth Duffel Coats and Hooked side vents.

Anybody with me?

So far we've all indulged in a broad brush-stroke look at the style either just to get it going (if you were sharp) or just because you were new to it all and that was all you knew.

Time to move on?

Time for Phase Two yet?

Put. Down. The. Official. Preppy. Handbook. - It marks you down.

Avanti! (As they say in Hoxton)

Paul Stuart always has side vented clothes and I always believed the more elegant wing of the soft shouldered set preferred Paul Stuart. In fact, it is why they also like Savile Row suits; and in turn savile row always made the suits with less waist suppression to satisfy the East Coast look.  Center vents were always more "Old Fart" or the guy who wore the suit because he had to. Those with panache always had at least a few side vented suits.

Paul Stuart is a good shop because they keep their minds and eyes open and retranslate Italian and English taste to keep the Ivy League look fresh and current.
