Personal Evolution Part Two: From Brooks To Brooks...

...  with a little learning (sometimes painful) along the way...
A pity we lost quality posters like Brideshead and Jesmond...
I was thinking last evening, when contemplating the blue Brooks shirt, at almost sixty two I'm sort of back where I was at eighteen (although Brooks then was more desire than reality.  If my Dad's best mate hadn't been head-hunted and moved to New England, if the old feller hadn't gone hunting for cut-outs in NYC etc. I might never have owned those first two shirts).  What is it they say?  What goes around comes around?
Then there's the question of colour overall.  Our Gibson could be a touch dogmatic - in a slightly teasing way, I think.  Charcoal grey, though?  Yes, indeed.  Bang on.  Navy on navy?  Very nice suggestion.  Various shades of dark green?  John Smedley cotton v-neck, worn yesterday.
I don't know.  Unwrapping that shirt gave me a warm glow.
Some of you will know exactly what I mean.
