I was thinking last evening, when contemplating the blue Brooks shirt, at almost sixty two I'm sort of back where I was at eighteen (although Brooks then was more desire than reality. If my Dad's best mate hadn't been head-hunted and moved to New England, if the old feller hadn't gone hunting for cut-outs in NYC etc. I might never have owned those first two shirts). What is it they say? What goes around comes around?
Then there's the question of colour overall. Our Gibson could be a touch dogmatic - in a slightly teasing way, I think. Charcoal grey, though? Yes, indeed. Bang on. Navy on navy? Very nice suggestion. Various shades of dark green? John Smedley cotton v-neck, worn yesterday.
I don't know. Unwrapping that shirt gave me a warm glow.
