Wow, that is a great article. He is a fascinating chap. Absolutely obsessed with Steve McQueen as I recall. He came to the launch of The Ivy Look in a bespoke Prince Of Wales suit and chatted to John Simons for most of the evening - those two clearly had a lot of respect for each other and I can understand why.

Never met him. Once spoke to him on the 'phone about some laces for my white bucks and t'other John's name was mentioned. Wasn't that old Weejun a friend and admirer?

I went into his shop years ago when I was on a TI meet up with a former poster (who will hopefully return here - the guy with the Jaws actor as his avatar).
Anyway, a nice shop and well worth a visit, although personally I didn't actually see anything I'd ever buy.
