I've come across a make of Shetland sweaters. They're made or distributed by a company called Skippers Mill. I was just wondering if anyone has heard of them or owns one. I'm interested in getting one so I'm just putting the feelers out.
A friend has just bought one by Malloch's but they are super expensive.
Thirty one colours to choose from, according to their website. Always wanted to be able to wear one without feeling constricted. I had to give it up as a bad job.

Enough of your numerous straitjacket experiences.
Ahem, black rubber straitjacket if you please.
I've a couple of Jamieson's shetland crews, one about 10 years old, the other a couple of years , pleased with the both of them, on the rare occasion I wash them ( maybe once per year), they always wash well, crucially, for me, the neck & shoulders are just like the Pringles from 60's/70's they sold in the Ivy Shop, highly recommended,
I was lucky enough to get some from Leith, before they shut up shop. I think the best ones are all made by Laurence Odie, who made the Leith ones (there's a little "LOKL" label tucked away inside), and I believe the ones sold by J. Press and O'Connells are by them too. Which seems a bit daft that they are all going to export - good luck finding a retailer in the UK.
I've got Harley, Jamieson's & Lawrence J Smith (possibly LOKL) Uncle Ian. I just saw these thought they looked good and was wondering if anybody had bought one.
I remember the Leith ones, they looked good, never pulled the trigger. Bought one of their Madras shirts though.
I once read - can't remember exactly where but it struck me as dubious at the time - that in America at least the wearing of a crew neck sweater signalled a higher social status (or something of that kind) than a v-neck. Can there be any truth in this?
