This is Woofboxer's phrase rather than my own.  Woof, I hope you won't mind my borrowing it: I think it's more than worthwhile.  In fact, just at the moment it might be vital to give it some exposure. 
I think - correct me if I'm wrong - that the original phrase was applied to Grenfell.  Grenfell, very much unlike Burberry (as opposed to Burberrys', when Made In England), is 'under the radar'. 
I'd very much like it if posters would bring in their own suggestions.  We're looking for the opposite of 'iconic'.
How about - just about - the McGregor Drizzler or a Derby or Catalina jacket?
How about Aristocraft wingtips?
