Where to find decent OCBDs in Scotland?

I can't find anything here that has a decent collar roll.  Believe it or not, British Home Stores sells a blue oxford for 14GBP (I haven't lived here long enough to earn the right to say quid) but the collar is really small and totally plastered, looks like a spread collar that had been made into a BD.

They just opened a new Brooks Brothers here in Edinburgh but they sell OCBDs for 60GBP, which in dollars is almost the price of Black Fleece.  If i was gonna spend 120 bucks I'd just as soon drop 150 on Thom Browne.

My limited experience with Ben Shermans is that they are poly-cotton and kind of baggy.  I'm thinking about buying some LandsEnd tailored fits online and having them shipped over here.
Anyone know of anything that I am missing?

Perhaps they won`t be as good as you are used to but give Marks and Spencers on Princess street a whirl - may be worth a wander around Jenners is there still an Austin Reed in Edinburgh-that could be worth a look.

Try mail order Boden, Brother?

Hardly old-school Ivy, but for a UK BD they are good 'uns.
Other UK BDs are improving too... But mainly by mail order.

the UK market Ben Sherman buttondowns have the original style tall collar and a much better roll than the US ones which are terrible.  UK shirts are also 100% cotton, not poly blend (USA shirts)

Just got a job at a law firm, part time, while i study. First day today.  turns out one of the perks is a TM Lewin discount.  I checked online and they have some nice OCBDs on sale.  Problem solved.

Seems like with the strength of the GBP  you might as well just get them from Brooks or order Gitmans or something from O'Connells.  Might even want to find a chum to bring back a bunch of Brooks for you, to avoid any duties that might be assessed.

edit:  I'm sure that you know, but Brooks has these "Brooks Buys" specially priced packages of shirts, et al if you buy in packs of 3.  That along with the 25% might make the duty imposed (if there is indeed one that gets assessed) less painful.  Either way, hell, you can take advantage of our pathetic USD and still get the original.

Also, if you have the means, I'd say a quick trip to NYC when you can, to get kitted out at 346 & Press wouldn't be a bad idea.
