Truly Vintage English Clothing

Not 'vintage' in the way it appears to exist in the heads of Ebay sellers dreaming of making a quick buck before retiring to a holiday home in Miami (or Weymouth) but the real deal.  I'm both interested and confused.  Even now.  After years of buying English bits and pieces to augment my wardrobe.  Well, don't most of us?  But I continue to struggle, trying to keep up with what was once tip-top and is now dubious - like Burberrys' since it became, well, whatever it is now.
I'm sixty three come November and need good shoes and to keep warm in winter.  I'm delighted with my new Crombie but am looking round for more names to consider.
Anyone?

Re: Truly Vintage English Clothing

A couple of weeks ago I handed my Invertere to some bag running a flea market stall while I tried on a Harris Tweed jacket she was trying to flog for £20.  'Oh', she said, almost sniffily, 'I sell a lot of these...'  Ought I to have taken her seriously?

Re: Truly Vintage English Clothing

Grenfell on Ebay is now 'Mod/Skinhead'.  I despair.
