A tie's life
I find that the ties that I dislike last forever and my favorites get soiled or snagged. How long (How many wearings) do you expect your ties to last and what mishaps generally ruin them? How much damage do you find acceptable on a tie before you throw it out?

Its a number of years since I was required to wear a tie on a daily basis -but when I did I usally went for wool ties by craigmill of scotland-(now called calzeat) or DL Sells of london.
They were often snagged or had beer or wine stains on them-it was for this reason I started to wear waistcoats.
