Does anyone know anything?  What were O'Connell's offering?  I've just seen a rather nice Viyella for Hathaway for sale (in the USA) and at least one example made there.  I'm interested as I used to live in the village in which the company originated and I'm pretty sure they were made in this once thriving textile town (Tootal were certainly here at one point).  I'm also intrigued by the sometimes mentioned American liking for English country clothing.  Lord knows, the ones I've visited are all too often mediocre (although sometimes offering Alan Paine sweaters at reduced prices: not much interest for me there these days, I'm afraid).  I'll often take a look-see for want of anything better.
