Varsity jackets with leather or contrast colour sleeves, or letters or emblems on them would be right out of consideration for me, they are one of those garments that make older men look rather ridiculous in, unless they happen to be the coach at a baseball game. A plain one in all Melton could be a different proposition though. I bought a russet orange Golden Bear one from JS which was part of some deadstock they bought, left over from the Harry Stedman venture.
