A couple of days ago I got an email from Marrkt offering a jumper they said I was interested in (I wasn't) for free! I was tempted as it was priced at £50 originally and it was close to something I was interested in. I didn't bite but today I bought a pair of hardly worn dessies so I just added the jumper to my delivery. All very curious and they have reduced prices on quite a few items. Perhaps lots of people are starting to feel the pinch. Something is happening out there and I don't know what
And today they offered me a shirt that I'm definitely not interested in but the email said I was. What's going on?
Maybe they're having a massive NY clear out, plenty of items down to £20 on there today, changing the subject slightly there were several Ivy blazers/jackets on there in the last week or so, an O'Connell's navy blazer, Rowing Blazers, Jos.A. madras, and maybe another one I can't remember,
There are lots of Ivy jackets at ebay and Etsy recently, notably including brands mentioned above. I envisage they are all the same ones sold at multiple sources including Marrkt.
I'm not sure there really is that much demand in UK. I am starting to see a consistent number of JS jumpers being resold, often unworn. Whether people are feeling the pinch or reselling impulse purchases they then do not use - there are a lot of second hand Ivy items appearing online. Even Jakes shirts are appearing which must of been bought recently.
I also suspect a number of fashion oriented people are moving on from a temporary interest in Ivy.

I've spotted all the jackets coming up for sale. Perhaps a sea change happening where the jacket is no longer being worn by any man in the street. I read a blog the other day that said the suit was making a comeback, along with hats, amongst younger men. I haven't noticed it myself
Nothing to do with Market but I've just received an email from Brentwood half marathon saying that they are 'thrilled' that I am considering running the event! I've not expressed an interest but I'm on their data base as it used to be a regular run for me. Is this some new form of marketing? Given that I'm walking with a stick at the moment I can't see myself being ready for 23/03
I have sold a few things over the last year. It seems that things that once would have been snapped up and would have fetched good money, now have to be shifted at rock bottom price. It must be a good time for anyone who is starting out and looking to build up an Ivy wardrobe.
Robbie - I had an email from our gym the other day, advising me that they ‘were excited to tell me’ that they were raising the monthly membership fees. I’ve been told that when emails start with twaddle like that, it is usually because the author has used used A.I. to compose their emails for them. Presumably because they can’t string a sentence together themselves!
I hope you can ditch the stick soon mate.

If that is the case, then hopefully US made BB's Makers will go down to a more realistic price.
FlatSixC- It hadn't occured to me that AI was being used to create emails for a data base. That must be the case. I spent part of Christmas talking to a nephew who is working with AI and he showed me some scary stuff. 6 months ago he was optimistic about the future with his trust in technology but now he is not so sure. I'm planning to ditch the stick tomorrow when I brave a Ryanair flight back to Blighty.
I’m sure A.I. will improve, but it seems like a step further in information overload and reducing people’s ability to think for themselves.
I have noticed that 75% of the content coming up my Facebook feed is stuff that I haven’t asked or ever expressed any interest in. Google searches throw up loads of irrelevant links, mainly advertising. I presume this is due to A.I.
Today there is a Brookes Bros blue OCBD NWT made in the USA 100% cotton for £60, 15 1/2 - 34, there was a white one but it sold out, doubt this one will hang around too long,
Missed those Stax. I got the email but I deleted it without looking closely. Made in USA and NOS. A bargain for someone. Bit small for me
I see they had a few Old Town items the other day. Not of interest for people here, I know
I got an email from Marrkt this morning offering clothes that they have had returned to them. One or two items may be of interest to people here but I'd be a bit worried buying something that someone else had returned. I don't trust the quality control at Marrkt
