Cufflinks

What would one consider more traditional, chain linked cufflinks or the t bar?

Re: Cufflinks

I'm pretty sure that swivel cufflinks, if those are the ones you mean, are post WW2. So for the purest of the purists, the double sided variety would be more 'traditional'...
I recently started using silk knots, so much nicer in many ways than metal links. They also seem to close the cuff a little tighter, which I like.

Re: Cufflinks

The English broadly prefer the chain link cufflinks which are more traditional but modern times find the City lads using clip cufflinks mostly because they are easier to get on in a rush. Tradition isnt a concern for the British who like cufflins that are both unique and brand new. Sometimes they love a well done antique providing it is in exquisite condition.
