With his increased visibility as a result of his Obama endorsement, I've been noticing Ted Kennedy's rather dapper mode of dress lately. Today, while giving a speech, TK was wearing a spiffy blue blazer with a shirt open at the neck, and earlier, he was dressed more formally in a terrific grey windowpane suit with peak lapels, a smart-looking striped shirt with gold cufflinks, and a tasteful pin-dot necktie. Everything well-fitted, esp. given his wide girth.
He's been looking great for the last few years, actually.
Lots of pinstripes, very sophisticated appearance.
As you say, the tailor is doing fine work with his bulk.
Just stepping out of his bulletproof submarine.
Ted looks almost sober in a couple of the photographs, which is a mild disappointment.
He's got a nice head of hair at his age, from someone way younger but not so blessed. I like the style of the guy lurking in the background of the shot of young(er) Ted in the DB blazer. Brooks' jockey stripe tie, tinted glasses, white man's 'fro et al.
