I recently had cataract surgery and will require glasses for reading and computer work, or, 90% of my day. (Someone please explain why I went thru the trouble of Lasik surgery years ago?) I have been using an inexpensive reader until my script settles after a few weeks, but am deciding whether or not to use an existing frame or get new ones. My great insurance will pay, so I may as well use this opportunity to experiment.
I currently own a pair of Ben Silver Lafont blonde tortoise which I love dearly. I know they are not the current small styles, but I love them anyways (and I paid full price for them!) Due to my almost nonexistent hairline (think actors Ed Harris or Bruce Willis, yeah right) I am not sure if these would look alright.
My other option is to try some rimless styles, as these would look almost invisible. I have been told these look very nice on me, and, being a big dude, they may help to shed some pounds, visually, for the time being.
Suggestions? Is there a website that will help you visualize the choices? Thanks.
I think the ic! Berlin rimless frames look very good. Also they have the cool bolt-less hinges that are (IMO) an engineering marvel.
