If I'm going to wear them I want them as heavy as possible - and that's the problem with living in a poky corner of the English Midlands and trawling Ebay. Sellers describe them as heavy, but it's a bit subjective. Anyone know what's really heavy, so I can keep an eye out?
Those are very nice. I might have liked them better without the metal eyelets, but the grain of the leather compensates for that imperfection. Proof that gunboat does not necessarily need to imply longwing.
Liking the old fashioned pebblegrain leather too. Looks like a beauty!
Glad to see you are posting fat buggers again isshinryu.
They are magnificent. l am so jealous, wish l had `em. They have real style. Most likely hand welted too (too difficult to see the small outside inseaming stitch to be sure). Seeing shoos like those does please me indeed. Makes me almost want to leave the spiritual world and go back to materialism again and buy more shoos, very tempting.
Are you able to get a closer up angle of the inseaming stitch? lt's the stitch that connects the welt that runs along the upper.
hand stacked heels and all. You don't see that very much these days.
