judging by the soles and insole, those haven't seen much wear! lucky find
Greatest shoes ever made in America - from Bennies right? I have a pair from the last era with not such a pronounced spade. Have you worn them or are they shooey-like trophy shoes?
Unfortunately, they're not mine. They're some ridiculous size like 7.5B and currently up for auction on ebay.
Who makes the best gunboats nowadays - I'm talking retail specifically?

Actually...l had the chance to buy some other black J&M handmades, but some idiot just rang Bennies before me and snagged the pair from under me. l'll never forgive that loser for buying my shoos. *snarky face*

Best wearing brand of the lot. Saddle shoe is better than brogue which used to get ripped up. Change from metal to soft spikes also helps now when storing shoes.
Always have a solid colour in the UK for ease of cleaning.
The Santoni's look like shell cordovan.
