I think one thing that is forgotten in this discussion is the idea of preference. There are many ways for a jacket to fit correctly, but you or I will not like the way they all look. There are many, many jackets I have seen on these sites which others love, and which I hate. Some of Uppercase's would fall into that realm, and some not. I don't think any are terrible.
Shooey, you seem to have definite ideas as to what sucks and what does not, but you haven't shown any examples. I don't mean that you need to show one of yourself, but at least one of a picture you think looks good. Better would be a non-professional photograph. To me, that would help make your criticisms more clear.

Marc is absolutely right about A&S in that they ignore customer requests, ship stuff that doesn't fit, and then make a face at requests to fix it. Tell them you want a quarter lining and they may grant you a half. Request something a bit off the beaten path and they refuse altogether.
I like the cut but it's refreshing to work with tailors who will actually do what you request.
